The Crown Estate also elected to undertake a Marine Aggregates Licensing Round Marine Conservation Zone Assessment (“MCZ Assessment”), which assessed the potential impacts of the plan and was intended to provide The Crown Estate with the information it requires to fulfil its duties in relation to MCZs under section 125 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 (“MCAA”).
