  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This report presents the results of a shallow geological survey carried out in Ramsgate
Harbour. The work was undertaken by UTEC Survey Limited, using the M.V. Excel II, on 19th
and 20th February 2009. The object of the survey was to determine the thickness of the clays
overlying chalk in the area of a proposed jack-up rig and to determine the existence or
otherwise of a buried, infilled excavation.</dc:description>
