<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project is in relation to monitoring objective 1 outlined in the FEPA licences for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farm sites. There were additional ornithological data that were collected at the site of the Lynn and Inner Dowsing Offshore Wind Farms on 11th December 2004, 8th February 2005 and 1st March 2005. These months were not included in previous projects due to the poor weather conditions. The objective of the project is to assess changes in usage of the area by feeding birds and birds on passage. The boat based surveys recorded a high number of divers which were not shown in previous surveys. It should be noted that the vessel used for both the March 2005 and February 2005 surveys had a higher eye height than all previous surveys. The land based survey on 1st March 2005 recorded relatively high numbers of red throated divers (68 in total) observed within 1 and 2km from the coast. Since only one survey has been recorded in the month of February and one in the month of December, the pre-construction baseline would be reinforced for monitoring purposes with additional surveys in the month of February, and ideally also December.</dc:description>
