  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project focuses on surface water quality which was sampled at 18 locations in the vicinity of the proposed onshore cable route (see downloadable data for locations). Observations were made of the charater of the water and watercourse, with a number of key parameters analysed on site. This provided data on temperature, acidity, specific conductivity, disolved oxygen, percentage disolved oxygen (DO) and oxidation-redction potential for each sample. This is shown in the report. The concentrations of certain trace metals, nutrients, biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids, and extractable petroleum hydrocarbons were analysed from samples sent to an accredited (ISO 17025/MCERTS) laboratory. This is a Lincs onshore ES appendix and relates to chapter 6 of the onshore ES, which can be found in a separate series.</dc:description>
