  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The purpose of this survey was to provide detailed seabed habitat and species informationallowing characterisation of the seabed as part of the Kyle Rhea Tidal Array Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to support the applications for statutory consents. The characterisation will support an assessment of potential impacts of the proposed development on the seabed environment. 

The specific objectives of the study were to carry out a video survey to characterise the seabed within the study area (Figure 1) in terms of: &#x2022; Distribution and abundance of marine habitats and communities; &#x2022; Identify habitats or species of conservation importance; and &#x2022; Determine the substrate type at all locations sampled.</dc:description>
