<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Wessex Archaeology (WA) was commissioned by Royal Haskoning DHV on behalf of Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd to carry out an assessment of finds made by Ramora UK during their search of inshore/beach areas for UXO targets as part of the proposed Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm Extension.

The Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm Extension (KFE) is an extension to the existing Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) situated off Herne Bay, Kent in the outer Thames Estuary. It will include the installation of 15 new turbines and monopole foundations to the south and west of the existing OWF. There will be 10-12km of inter-array cable and up to two new export cables each approximately 8.5km long and including cable crossings (WA 2014).

The finds assessment consists of a review of information and images from the 47 targets found by Ramora UK and assessment of these finds for archaeological potential.</dc:description>
