<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The intertidal survey conducted by CMACS Ltd. for London Array Ltd. at Cleve Hill in September 2004 aimed to map Zostera (eelgrass) and mussel beds along the provisional cables route for a proposed offshore windfarm. The survey employed GPS mapping and non-destructive visual inspections. On 28th September, biotope types were identified and their boundaries documented, referencing key ecological studies and using data from the UK Hydrographic Office.

The survey found various biotopes and species, including Macoma balthica, Arenicola marina, Zostera noltii, and Mytilus edulis. Key recommendations focus on careful mapping and consideration of sensitive habitats for future windfarm development, highlighting the importance of non-destructive monitoring in ecologically significant intertidal zones.</dc:description>
