  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The aim of this project was to develop a national data layer on inshore fishing activities by using the best available data sources and integrate this with the best available data for offshore fishing activities. The project also aimed to address the need to future updates of the dataset by ensuring standardisation of the data collected and development of a GIS Toolbox to reduce the expertise and time required to analyse sightings data collected by the Sea Fisheries Committees (SFCs) and the Marine Management Organisation (MMO).</dc:description>
