  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In addition to the Race Bank Meteorological Mast ENGrbcM50 logging system and instrumentation, a WindCube V2 LiDAR was
installed on the Race Bank offshore platform in December 2010.

The purpose of this installation was twofold:
As the level of IEC non-compliance varies across instruments on the Race Bank mast, LiDAR measurements were used to facilitate tower shadow corrections and gauge the consequent reduction of mast measurement uncertainty; 
The LiDAR measurements were also used for shear verification purposes.</dc:description>
