It is also required for Environmental Statements for Round 1 Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) proposals and Strategic Environmental Assessments for Round 2 OWF development. The objective of this project was to undertake four aerial surveys of waterbirds and seabirds in inshore waters in an area of the Outer Wash approximately bounded to the west by Skegness, to the north by Mablethorpe, to the east by Wells-Next-the-Sea and to the south by the Norfolk coastline. This area was included in an aerial survey flying block identified as ‘GW4’.
