<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies Limited, were commissioned by Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm ltd (GyMOWFL), to undertake a fish and electromagnetic field (EMF) survey programme, to form part of the wider baseline benthic ecological surveys for the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm.

One of the key consents for construction and operation of the wind farm is a Licence (10/59/F) issued under the Food and Environmental Protection Act (FEPA) by the Welsh Government (WAG). This licence contains several references to fish monitoring and electromagnetic fields. A sampling programme was developed under consultation and undertaken during September 2010 and May 2011 consisting of trawl and tangle net surveys respectively to provide information on benthic fish in and around the GyM site. A desk study was also included to provide information on expected EMF and potential effects upon electromagnetic sensitive fish.</dc:description>
