<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project sought to provide a desk-based review of cable installation techniques and protection used for offshore wind and other cables related projects in order to better understand how seabed habitats are affected by such activity. The project collated and assessed information on cable installation techniques used in the UK, and considered the effectiveness of these installation methods and tools in different seabed types. The project also collated and assessed information on the impacts of cabling on seabed habitats and communities, and provided a series of recommendations for future consent applications and proposals for best working practices during and after cable installation.</dc:description>
