<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In accordance with the FEPA licence, there is a requirement to undertake pre-construction and postconstruction surveys of the Kentish Flats windfarm site to determine whether any debris has been left
on the seabed or significant changes to the seabed profile have occurred as a result of the construction
activity. Emu Limited was commissioned by NEG Micon UK Ltd. to perform hydrographic surveys of
the turbine locations and cable routes in order to determine this.

This report describes the pre-construction debris survey, commissioned to determine the current
seabed conditions at the site. This is a baseline data set for comparison with data collected during the
post-construction survey.

The survey vessel Midnight Express was used to conduct the work over the windfarm site between 6th
- 11th August 2004. Data were collected over the entire windfarm site, including turbine locations,
cable routes and area around the meteorological mast. A single-beam echosounder was used to
determine seabed levels across the site for the production of a colour contour plot. Any seabed
anomalies have been identified on the seabed features chart.</dc:description>
