<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This report details the deployment of an Acoustic Doppler Current profiler in the Inner-Sound, Pentland Firth. The results are presented for both wave and tidal current analysis. Due to excessive pitch and roll during deployment results have been averaged to 1 minute to reduce random error. Tidal currents recorded at the ADCP position were found to be strongest during flood tide. Three periods of increased wave activity were recorded during the deployment associated with swell produced by low pressure systems.</dc:description>
