<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Peter Brett Associates were appointed to investigate the most appropriate way in which a 132kv cable crossing could be achieved over/under Holland Brook adjacent to the existing Holland Bridge near the site of Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm. Three options are considered viable for providing the Holland Bank cable crossing. These are a cable carrying structure over the brook immediately adjacent to the existing bridge, a directionally drilled crossing with the southern approach between Holland Marshes and SSSI and Holland Bridge and a directionally drilled crossing with the southern approach located in Holland Marshes SSI. Option 1 and 2 are the preferred cable crossing options. With option 1 favoured over 2. It is recommended that further investigations of both these options be progressed until such a point a clear winnder emerges.</dc:description>
