  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project is the result of a survey commissioned by Gunfleet Sands Limited detailing the findings of the herring spawning survey conducted between February and April 2009. The aim of the survey was to determine the spawning areas and period of the Thames-Blackwater herring.
The objectives of this herring survey were to establish the spawning area of the Thames-Blackwater herring, to determine the spawning period of the Thames-Blackwater herring and to ascertain whether there was any relationship between salinity and temperature and spawning area or spawning period.</dc:description>
