  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The aim of the work was to monitor the underwater acoustic noise radiated from marine pile-driving during the installation of turbine support files in the construction phase of the greater Gabbard offshore Wind farm. Such measurements enable estimates to be made of the likely impact of the acoustic noise of marine life in the area. The measurement and analysis work was conducted by staff of Gardline Environmental Ltd (GEL), the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and Loughborough University &#x2013; Department of Electronic and Electrical; Engineering (LU).</dc:description>
