<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine sampling survey took place in September/October 1989 on board the Whitethorn and Bucentaur drilling vessels. It was part of a joint project between various European Geological Surveys to study aspects of the Quaternary Strata of the Sourthern North Sea, funded by the EEC under their Stimulation Progreamme. Boreholes were drilled using a wireline coring system. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS internal report WB/89/40.</dc:description>
