    "description": "Mesozooplankton (down to ~300\u00b5m size) and macrozooplankton abundance data \r\ngathered as part of an ongoing annual autumn pelagic survey in the English \r\nChannel, Celtic Sea and Bristol Channel, with data currently available from \r\n2017-2022. Samples were obtained using twin ringnet deployments at set \r\nstations and subsequently processed back at the lab using ZooScan image \r\nanalysis. Count abundances from semi-automatic image classifications on \r\nEcoTaxa are then converted into abundances per m3 using estimates of \r\nfiltered volume from flowmeter readings. The current dataset comprises \r\nzooplankton results specifically from the PELTIC (Integrated Pelagic ecosystem \r\nsurvey in the Western Channel and Celtic Sea) survey series, which has \r\nexpanded the collection of pelagic data from the core regions sampled in the \r\nPOSEIDON survey series which ran between 2012-2016.",
