    "description": "Stock assessment data sets for 58 quota fish stocks from 2003 to 2021 \r\ninclusive in the Celtic Seas and Greater North Sea and widely distributed were \r\ncollected from ICES international stock assessments database (ICES Stock \r\nInformation Database [year accessed 2023] ICES, Copenhagen, Denmark. \r\n`https://sid.ices.dk`_). Stock assessment data sets for 62 non-quota \r\nshellfish stocks from 1990 to 2019 inclusive in the Celtic Seas and Greater \r\nNorth Sea were collected from national stock assessments reports and \r\npublications.\r\n\r\nThe stock assessment data for fish and shellfish stocks of UK interest is used \r\nto assess Good Environmental status for commercially exploited fish and \r\nshellfish, descriptor 3 (Impact of fishing on target species) under the UK \r\nMarine Strategy (UKMS). The 2024 UKMS assessment uses a stock assessment data \r\nto calculate of percentage of stocks being within safe biological limits \r\nconsidering 6-year period where required data is available to integrate two \r\nindicators assessments, reproductive capacity (based on spawning stock \r\nbiomass) and fishing pressure (based on fishing mortality), considering \r\nspecific maximum sustainable yield reference points that are relevant for each \r\nstock.\r\n\r\n\r\n.. _`https://sid.ices.dk`:\r\n https://sid.ices.dk/",
