    "description": "Plankton data from Corystes 05/1991 as part of a series of 4 plankton surveys \r\ncarried out in the North Sea and English Channel between 20th March - 28th \r\nJune 1991.\r\n\r\nThe aims were to study:\r\n\r\n\r\n- The distribution, abundance and production of sole (- *Solea solea*- \r\n ) eggs as part of the ICES coordinated programme to estimate the female \r\n sole spawning stock biomass in divisions IVb, c, d, e.\r\n- The distribution and abundance of the planktonic stages of crab (- \r\n *Cancer pagarus*- ), spider crab (- *Maia squinado*- ) and b\r\n(- *Dicentrarchus labrax*- ).\r\n- The vertical distribution of crab larvae using the LHPR system.\r\n\r\nPlankton samples were collected at each site on a planned survey grid. This \r\ndata consists of the numbers of fish eggs and larvae, along with associated \r\npositional data and volumes filtered, of the main net samples. It does not \r\ninclude the LHPR samples.",
