    "description": "This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the Historic Arctic Survey \r\nSeries;\r\n\r\n*Gadus morhua* (Atlantic Cod) stocks in the Barents Sea are currently at \r\nlevels not seen since the 1950s. Causes for the population increase last \r\ncentury, and understanding of whether such large numbers will be maintained in \r\nthe future, are unclear. To explore this, we digitised and interrogated \r\nhistorical cod catch and diet datasets from the Barents Sea. Data includes \r\ntemporal and spatial information, cod catch data and length distributions, and \r\nhydrographic data.\r\n\r\nSurvey took place between 22/04/1958 and 22/05/1958 on Ernest Holt\r\n\r\nEquipment used during this survey :\r\n\r\n\r\n- Otter Trawl 78ft Granton with shrimp netting cover\r\n\r\nSurvey operations were undertaken on 9 stations\r\n\r\n11 different species were caught on this survey",
