    "description": "This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the South Western Beam Trawl \r\nSurvey, Qtr 1 (FSS: Q1SWBEAM);\r\n\r\nAnnual research vessel surveys in the Western English Channel using 4m beam \r\ntrawls in support of EU data regulations and as part of an ICES funded \r\nresearch program. Randomly selected survey position design. In 2012 the survey \r\ncoverage was extended to cover the Celtic Sea using both the 4m beam trawl and \r\nthe GOV trawl. In 2013 the survey returned to using the 4m beam trawl only. \r\nAdditional aims include collection of benthic, water temperature and salinity \r\nand acoustic data.\r\n\r\nSurvey took place between 16/03/2009 and 05/04/2009 on CEFAS Endeavour\r\n\r\nEquipment used during this survey :\r\n\r\n\r\n- High definition drop camera frame\r\n- Nioz corer standard deployment 5mm Grid\r\n- No Blinder Port deployed Beam Trawl 4m steel commericial with extended \r\n codend\r\n- SPI camera starboard A Frame\r\n- Starboard deployed Beam Trawl 4m steel commericial with extended codend\r\n- Vertical Profiler CTD Type 8770\r\n\r\nSurvey operations were undertaken on 507 stations\r\n\r\n276 different species were caught on this survey",
