The aim \r\nwas for skippers to collect data using their standard net and their \r\nexperimental net in order to compare the efficiency of the net to reduce \r\ndiscards of whitefish. These experimental gear included testing coverless \r\ntrawl, a trawl with additional square mesh panels (SMP) escape sections in the \r\ntop of the trawl, and a separator trawl with dual cod end.",
