This survey area is situated some 100 km to the north and west of Scotland. The continental slope separates the shallow shelf seas (< 200 m) from the deep ocean plains (> 2000 m) and supports a diverse assemblage of fish, some of which are commercially exploited such as roundnose grenadier, blue ling, black scabbard.",
