We then highlight how the results of\r\nmajor investment in research carried out in the UK over the past decade, particularly through the Aggregate Levy\r\nSustainability Fund (ALSF), have assisted in our understanding of the nature and scale of impacts of dredging on\r\nthe marine environment, and how this information has been used to improve the sustainable management of\r\nthis key resource for the UK economy.",
