Given that the previous datasets are somewhat dated, a survey of the biological resources along the route corridor was conducted and a temporal comparison of these resources was made. \r\n\r\nThe findings highlighted the international ecological importance of these habitats, observed shifts in species composition and habitat structure over time, and identified cable installation impacts as temporary, localized, and of low significance\u2014mainly affecting non-mobile benthic species with generally rapid recovery anticipated.
