    "description": "The main aim of the FEPA monitoring program is to determine the distribution and\r\nabundance of seabirds using the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm site and its surrounds\r\nbefore, during and after the construction phase of the wind farm. Standard survey\r\nmethodologies have been used, following Camphuysen et al. (2004) and have remained\r\nconsistent throughout the pre, during and post-construction monitoring.\r\n\r\nThe Thanet Offshore Wind Farm (Thanet) project is located in the Thames Estuary\r\nStrategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) area, approximately 11km off Foreness\r\nPoint, within the Outer Thames Estuary. The Thanet project received consent in\r\nDecember 2006, with the most recent FEPA license being dated July 2010\r\n(33119/10/1).\r\n\r\nThis series contains all datasets and reports produced throughout the monitoring process from the 2004-2005 pre-construction monitoring surveys that fed into the Environmental Statement, through to the three annual post-construction monitoring surveys.",
