The construction of Walney Offshore Windfarms will commence in February 2010. Pre-construction surveys were conducted from 2008 and ongoing into 2010.\r\nThe document within this series describes the environmental monitoring undertaken pre construction of Walney 1 and 2 and export cable routes 1 and 2. The environmental monitoring reported in this document should be seen as an ongoing process of monitoring pre-, during and post construction monitoring. Monitoring activities will be reported annually to the licensing authority, as described in the Marine Licence, for a period up to three years post-construction.
