    "description": "The purpose of the botanical survey conducted by Diana Clark BSc (Hons) MSc on 23rd September 2004 for the London Array onshore site was to document and describe the vegetation zones and plant species present along the Thames estuary, including specific areas such as borrow pits and grazed grassland behind the seawall. \r\n\r\nUsing field observations and following species identification according to Stace (1997), the survey identified a variety of flora typical of shingle, mudflat, grassland, and aquatic habitats, though some species\u2014particularly roses\u2014were difficult to identify due to seasonal constraints. The findings are indicative rather than comprehensive, and the report recommends a follow-up botanical survey in spring or early summer for more accurate identification, especially of rare or seasonally variable species. The existence of small-leaved sweet-briar, a Red Data Book species, remains unconfirmed, highlighting a need for further investigation.",
