    "description": "Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Ltd (BOD) have requested that Wessex Archaeology (WA) undertake a geoarchaeological assessment of geotechnical samples in support of Retained Archaeologist Services for the preconstruction and construction phases of the Blyth Offshore Demonstration Project (Figure 1).\r\n\r\nThe Stage 1 geoarchaeological review (WA 2016), identified sequences of bedded, laminated, fine-grained and organic sediments of possible Holocene (or earlier) origin which have potential for understanding the timing and influence of marine transgression and determining the development of coastal geomorphology since the last glacial.\r\n\r\nThe report in this series displays the geoarchaeological assessment results for the samples of interest; the locations of which are shown on Figure 1 of the report.",
