    "description": "In June 2008 The Crown Estate announced proposals for the third round (Round 3)\r\nof offshore wind farm leasing, following on from the 8 gigawatts (GW) planned from\r\nearlier United Kingdom (UK) offshore wind leasing programmes (Rounds 1 and 2).\r\nSubsequent to this announcement, the Offshore Energy Strategic Environmental\r\nAssessment (Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) 2009) was carried\r\nout, to examine the potential for 25GW of additional UK offshore wind.\r\nThis document constitutes the ES for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck, presenting the\r\nfindings of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. The ES is\r\nsubmitted in support of a Development Consent Order (DCO) application and is\r\nrequired under the Infrastructure Planning Regulations (Environmental Impact\r\nAssessment) Regulations 2009 (which transpose the EIA requirements of the EU\r\nDirective (EIA Directive) 85/337/EEC (as amended by Directive 97/11/EC and\r\nDirective 2003/35/EC)",
