    "description": "In addition to the Race Bank Meteorological Mast ENGrbcM50 logging system and instrumentation, a WindCube V2 LiDAR was\r\ninstalled on the Race Bank offshore platform in December 2010.\r\n\r\nThe purpose of this installation was twofold:\r\nAs the level of IEC non-compliance varies across instruments on the Race Bank mast, LiDAR measurements were used to facilitate tower shadow corrections and gauge the consequent reduction of mast measurement uncertainty; \r\nThe LiDAR measurements were also used for shear verification purposes.",
