    "description": "Arcus Consultancy Services Ltd (Arcus) has been commissioned by Samsung Heavy\r\nIndustries (SHI) to carry out ornithological monitoring at the Fife Energy Park Offshore\r\nDemonstration Wind Turbine (FEPODWT) (\u2018the Development\u2019). Bird\r\nmonitoring and reporting objectives set out in the PEMP include:\r\nPre-construction / construction bird monitoring strategy:\r\nUndertake bird flight activity surveys and surveys of birds on the water twice monthly\r\nduring the construction works to supplement the existing baseline data and assist in\r\nquantifying the flux of birds passing through the volume of risk prior to the turbine\r\nbeing in position.\r\nPost-construction / operational bird monitoring strategy:\r\nTo undertake twice monthly bird flight activity surveys during years one, two, three and\r\nfive of the operational life of the Development, to understand the interactions of birds\r\nwith the Development.\r\nReporting:\r\nBird monitoring reports will be submitted within 2 months of the completion of the year\r\none (which will include the pre-construction / construction monitoring results), year two,\r\nyear three and year five operational monitoring periods. The reports will present the\r\nresults of the monitoring studies and will draw comparisons with the pre-construction\r\ndata and any previous years\u2019 monitoring data.",
