    "description": "This series provides data from an assessment of the predicted effects of the construction, operation and decommissioning of the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm and Offshore Transmission Works within the Development Area and Offshore Export Cable Corridor upon metocean and coastal processes.\r\n\r\n\u201cMetocean\u201d refers to meteorology and oceanography; the main processes of interest are water levels, currents and waves. \u201cCoastal processes\u201d is a generic term that refers to the physical processes affecting the form and evolution of the coastal zone, through sediment erosion, transport and deposition. A coastal processes study considers phenomena such as suspended sediment concentrations (SSC), seabed features (such as sand banks and ripples), and large-scale sediment transport pathways (which in turn influence beach replenishment, coastal erosion/flooding, and similar issues). The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm and Offshore Transmission Works (OfTW) will consider metocean and coastal processes within the near-field environment (i.e. encompassing the Development Area or Offshore Export Cable Corridor) in addition to the far-field environment (for example the coastal zone).\r\n\r\nThe data in this series describes the following:\r\n\r\n baseline (existing) metocean and coastal process conditions for the Regional Study Area (as shown in Figure 10.3) based on desk studies, collected field data and modelling;\r\n the magnitude of the predicted changes to metocean and coastal processes resulting from works within the Development Area and Offshore Export Cable Corridor (both individually and cumulatively);\r\n where relevant, the significance of the impacts of predicted changes to metocean and coastal processes resulting from works within the Development Area and Offshore Export Cable Corridor (both individually and cumulatively);\r\n where relevant, the significance of predicted cumulative changes to processes resulting from the Wind Farm and Offshore Transmission Works cumulatively with other proposed developments and activities; and\r\n mitigation measures and residual effects.",
