    "description": "Fugro Alluvial Offshore Limited (FAOL) was contracted by Fugro Seacore Ltd on behalf of DONG\r\nEnergy Power (UK) Ltd to perform a geotechnical investigation for the proposed West of Duddon\r\nSands Offshore Windfarm.\r\nThe site investigation was performed to provide soils information that would assist in the\r\ngeotechnical investigation associated with the survey.\r\nThe purpose of this geotechnical site investigation is to provide high quality, fit for purpose,\r\ngeotechnical data in a timely and cost effective manner. The geotechnical investigation shall\r\nprovide sufficient and adequate information about soil strata, strength and deformation\r\nparameters to perform a detailed design of the proposed cable route.\r\nThe investigation work was performed aboard the vessels \u201cFugro Commander\u201d and the\r\n\u201cWillendeavour\u201d\r\nBetween 26th June to 23rd July 2010, 51 Vibrocores, and 26 Piezocone Penetration Tests\r\n(PCPT\u2019s) were performed at 25 locations requested by the Client.",
