    "description": "DHI has been commissioned by MeyGen to provide assistance in an Environment Impact\r\nAssessment (EIA) in the Inner Sound area, Pentland Firth, Scotland, United Kingdom.\r\nThe purpose of the present EIA is to identify the potential impacts arising from the operation of\r\ntwo different arrays of tidal power generators in the Inner Sound area. The potential impacts in\r\nterm of hydrodynamic, wave and morphological conditions have been studied through the use\r\nof numerical model developed by DHI.\r\nThe present technical note presents the results of the performed tide, wave and morphological\r\nmodelling as well as a description of the models including model setup and calibration.\r\nThe hydrodynamic and wave modelling has been carried out simultaneously using DHI\u2019s MIKE 21 coupled model. Using a coupled model allows simulating the mutual interaction between waves and currents, which is of interest in areas with both strong currents and waves.",
