As a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) under\r\nsection 14(3) of the Planning Act 2008 and, owing to the size and nature of the\r\nproject, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been undertaken in\r\naccordance with the Infrastructure Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment)\r\nRegulations 2009.\r\n\r\nThis document is an Environmental Statement (ES) produced as a result of the\r\nEIA process and is being submitted in support of an application for a\r\nDevelopment Consent Order (DCO) for the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm,\r\nincluding associated development, to the Secretary of State under Section\r\n37(3)(d) of the Planning Act 2008.",
