In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Weather data collected from the Coastguard lookout station on Wooltack point, Pembrokeshire from May 1993 onwards. The continuous weather data can be used for monitoring climate change and factors effecting species within the MNR.
