A previous survey, conducted in 2000 (ERTSL, 2001a), detailed that drill cuttings discharges in the Harding field contaminated sediments up to 500m from the Harding Platform. The object of this survey was to investigate the seabed, prior to the installation of a sub-sea pipeline connecting the Harding and Devenick fields, to determine changes in contaminant status and macrofaunal species assemblages since the time of the previous survey.
