Metadata: 2017-2019, RHDHV, Wind Enabling Actions, Cumulative Ornithological Collision Risk Database
Abstract:
This series contains a database that provides a summary of offshore ornithological collision risk modelling data for all UK offshore windfarms. The aim of this database is to collate publicly available data for offshore wind farms and the associated seabird collision estimates to produce a common resource for future cumulative impact assessments of collision risk for those seabird species considered to be of particular and widespread risk of collision with wind turbines (gannet, kittiwake, herring gull, lesser black-backed gull and great black-backed gull). The intention is that this database will contain the most recent and available as-built turbine parameters as updated on a quarterly basis. The database will be updated on a twice yearly basis and the previous versions will be available in this Series.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19257 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2017-2019, RHDHV, Wind Enabling Actions, Cumulative Ornithological Collision Risk Database |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Cumulative Ornithological Collision Risk Database |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 8b03d43c-09f1-491e-920f-2875b591b26e |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-2373 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2017-11-03 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2019-05-03 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | asNeeded |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | It should be noted that the collision mortalities provided in this sheet have been extracted from publically available sources (including project assessments, technical reporting and online resources). While every effort has been made to ensure these have been accurately transcribed, errors may remain. Use of these data is at the readers own risk and readers should satisfy themselves that the data are correct before using. It should also be noted that the mortalities presented are those estimated using the Band Collison Model options 1 or 2 (as the recalculation method as presented is only valid for these model options). For projects which based their assessments of impact on mortality calculated using options 3 or 4 there will be differences between the figures in this spreadsheet and those reported in the Environmental Statement. For these projects the option 1 and 2 figures in this spreadsheet have been obtained (where available) from the technical reporting which accompanied the ES. Although these estimates may represent earlier wind farm design proposals which were not subsequently updated during the period leading up to consent, the re-calculated mortality and headroom remain valid so long as the mortality |
