Prior to the construction of the wind farm, a Marine Environment Monitoring Programme (MEMP) was developed in conjunction with the Robin Rigg Management Group (RRMG), covering the pre-, during and post construction stages of development in accordance with consent from Scottish Ministers under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989. The remit of the MEMP was to record any changes to the physical and ecological environment that may be caused by the construction and operation of the wind farm, complying with condition 6.4 of Section Consent 36 conditions. The programme concentrated on areas where there was uncertainty on the effects of the offshore wind farm and where those effects may cause potential impacts on the marine ecology. This included benthos, fish, birds and marine mammals.

Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 7284 |
Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2010-present, Robin Rigg, Monitoring Reports |
File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 90eb9f295456b6ea1dee3b92e52d1848 |
Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | RR-MEMP-0004 |
Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2010-01-01 |
End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2015-03-31 |
Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | asNeeded |

Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | The data has been collected as part of a programme of environmental monitoring at Robin Rigg offshore wind farm with the output of Operational Year Reports. Dr Jane Lancaster (Currently of Natural Power Consultants) has coordinated the collection and managed the storage, processing and analysis of the data for the duration of the project. |
