ABP Marine Environmental Research Ltd (ABPmer) was commissioned by Celtic Array to undertake a Zonal Appraisal of the physical processes of the Irish Sea Zone in order to identify and address the key issues and potential cumulative impact of the proposed development on the Irish Sea Zone Physical processes. This report provides details of the physical processes regime and topics covered are Waves, Tides and Currents; Temperature, Salinity and Frontal Systems; and Seabed morphology and Sediments Regime. This stage 1Zonal assessment focused on the initial zonal characterisation which was a high level characterisation and identification of risks and issues, It involved the use of existing literature and data, metocean and geophysical survey data.
