Any animals retained in the sieve were identified and returned to the sediment. Any Ophelia bicornis found were identified and an example preserved and returned to the laboratory for formal identification. All other samples were returned to the sediment. Confidence in this dataset is high. Professional taxonomic experts were used to confirm the identity of polychaetes collected.
