Target species were cod (Gadus morhua) and plaice (Pleuronectes platessa). The data described here consists of the numbers of fish eggs and larvae and zooplankton, along with associated positional and ancillary data and volumes filtered. No cruise reports are available. Analysis at CEFAS involved separating eggs and larvae from samples. All eggs identified and measured. Eggs in size range 1.25-1.75 mm without oil globules were coded as COD (this was later changed to ZZY). These eggs were staged and measured. Where >100 eggs were found, sub-sampling undertaken. Eggs which were unmeasured were apportioned across the size distn of measured eggs. Other ZZY eggs were sub-sampled if necessary, counted and measured but not staged. Only a few PUP samples analysed to date. Involved analysis of at least 100 organisms if total species < 10 and at least 200 organisms if more species present. MEDIN 3.1.1
