The csv file "nematodes_field_creeksea_2001" contains data from field-collected sediments, while the csv entitled "nematodes_lab_experiemnts_creeksea_2001" contains data from experimental treatments sumulating the deposition of dredged material. The Read Me file contains discriptions of the microcosms from the deposition experiements. Data detailing biomass (and size spectra) of the dominant nematode species *Cyatholaimus gracilis,*sediment granulometry and total organic carbon concentrations of bulk sediment is also available. To identify nematode species, Platt & Warwick (1983, 1988) and Warwick et al. (1998) identification keys were used. Experimental data are the result of a laboratory study which assessed the effects of different levels of paint-derived TBT, and different modes of exposure, on estuarine nematodes. Fauna was exposed to two types of treatments (mixture and deposit), containing uncontaminated sediment and sediment spiked with paint-derived TBT. MEDIN 3.1.1
