These data were collated to determine the date of first occurrence for each species in the UK waters of each OSPAR region (Greater North Sea, Celtic Seas). The taxonomic range of species considered covers metazoans, plants and algae. Only species widely considered to be NIS were included (i.e. cryptogenic species, those for which non-native status is unclear, were excluded).
