Physical measurements were taken as well as the collection of samples for chemical and biological effects studies. This data consists of the station locations sampled in 1995, ancillary data recorded (e.g. salinity, temperature), and some analysis data of sediment and water bottle samples. A Day grab was also used to collect further sediment samples. Water samples were collected using a bespoke subsurface sampler made of glass and Teflon designed within Cefas. Water samples for nutrient analysis came from a continuous pumping system aboard RV Cirolana. These were analysed using a salinometer back in the lab. Values measured aboard came from a less accurate version (CTD unit). Analytical methods used depended on the determinands. MEDIN 3.1.1
