Because the samples were taken by baited traps, consideration needs to be given when analysing these data. A few records may be for crabs taken on an* ad hoc* basis elsewhere. Some of the data fields are indexed and to make use of this dataset the user will require the maturity keys linked in the relevant documents section. The user will be responsible for assigning sexual maturity to each record based on appropriate features of the gonads or other factors.
