A sub-sample of sediment was taken for Particle Size Analysis (PSA). The remaining sediment was then sieved over a sieve table consisting of a 5mm screening mesh and 1mm collection sieve. Photographs were taken of the sediment retained on 5mm fraction and the sediment retained on both the 5mm and 1mm fractions were combined and this residue fixed using a 4% buffered formalin solution for transport back to the laboratory and subsequent processing.
